Installation Process – Engineered for Strength & Precision

Poured-In-Place Pre-Leveling

To achieve the best adhesion and longevity, all substrates must be properly prepared:

Surface Preparation: The existing concrete subfloor must be clean, sound, and free from dirt, oil, grease, or curing compounds that may prevent bonding.
Mechanical Profiling: Surface contaminants are removed through grinding, shot blasting, or scarifying (solvent stripping and acid etching are not acceptable).
Crack Repair & Joint Treatment: All cracks, joints, and voids are treated to minimize telegraphing through the nDura FLEX topping.
Membrane Installation (If Required): For enhanced waterproofing and crack isolation, a high-performance membrane is applied before topping installation.

Poured-In-Place Installation

Primer Application: The surface is primed 24 hours before installation and again immediately before pouring, ensuring maximum adhesion.
Material Placement: The nDura FLEX mixture is placed within pre-formed divider strips and troweled to achieve a smooth, uniform finish.
Compaction & Leveling: The surface is consolidated with a 3/8” spike roller to remove air pockets and ensure a dense, even finish.
Curing: The system is allowed to cure for 24-72 hours before proceeding to the polishing and sealing process.

Wet Grind & Polishing Process

Initial Grinding:
- Rough grind using 30/40 grit diamond plates to establish a level surface.
- Follow with 80-grit diamond plates to refine the surface.
Grouting & Patching:
- Surface is cleansed and any remaining voids are filled with a specialty grout mix.
- The grout is cured before continuing to the fine grinding process.
Fine Grinding & Finishing:
- Final grind using 80-120 grit or finer, depending on aggregate exposure and finish preference.
- Polishing process follows manufacturer specifications for a satin, semi-gloss, or high-gloss finish.
- The completed nDura FLEX system will provide uniform color and chip density, matching the approved design sample.
